Tropical Drinks: How to make the Sunkiss Cocktail.

There are a few variations to this tropical drink. One is simple the other is a bit more complex.

Sunkiss Recipe One:
• 4 ounces Orange Juice
• 2 ounces Amaretto ( Monin, Amaretto di Amore, Di Saronno , Hiram Walker, etc.)

Mixing instruction

Mix in a cocktail glass with ice.

Sunkiss Recipe Two:
• 1/2 oz. Coconut Rum 

       ( Captain Morgan Parrot Bay , Cruzan Coconut Rum, Bacardi Coconut Rum, Malibu, etc.)
• 1 oz. Peach Schnapps 

       (Dekuyper Peachtree, Hiram Walker, Weis Peach Schnapps, Archers, Potter's Peach Schnapps, etc.)

• 1 oz. Vodka

        (Smirnoff, Grey Goose, Absolut, Skky, etc.)
• 3 splashes Orange Juice
• 1/2 can of Red Bull

Procedure
Stir to mix in a cocktail glass with ice, garnish this tropical coktail with a lime wedge.

• 3 large basil leaves

Cocktail Mixing Procedure
Muddle the pepper, basil, agave nectar and lime juice. Add other ingredients and shake well in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain and pour over ice into a “rocks” glass. Garnish with a basil leaf and the jalapeno pepper.

Pineapple Mojito
• 3 fresh green sprigs of mint
• 2 ts white sugar 
• half a lime
• 1-1/2 oz of light rum (Bacardi)
• 2 slices of fresh pineapple
• club soda to top


Procedure.
Muddle 2 of the sprigs of mint, lime, pineapple, and sugar in a glass. 
Then add the white rum. Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a tall glass of cracked or crushed ice. Top of with the club soda. Then garnish with a mint sprig and pineapple slice. Enjoy!

Here´s two recipes for the classic tropical cocktail the Hurricane, one is the basic one and the other the common recipe today. The Hurricane cocktail is still being served at Pat O`Briens in New Orleans where the drink originated.

Hurricane Cocktail Drink

Basic Hurricane recipe:

• 1.5 oz light rum (Cruzan, Barcardi, etc.)
• 1.5 oz dark rum (Trader Vic's, Myers rum)
• 1 oz passionfruit juice or syrup (Trader Vic's)
• ¾ oz fresh lime juice

Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice until frosty and then strain into a Hurricane glass filled with ice.

Common Hurricane recipe:

• 1.5 oz light rum
• 1.5 oz dark rum
• 1 oz fresh orange juice
• 1 oz fresh lime juice
• 1/4 cup passion fruit juice, or 1 tablespoon passion fruit syrup
• 1 oz simple syrup (sugar water)
• 1 teaspoon grenadine
Stemmed cherries, and orange slice as a garnish
Ice cubes or crushed ice.

Hurricane Cocktail Mixing Instructions:
Half fill a Hurricane glass with crushed ice. Shake all ingredients and strain into the glass. Add more ice if needed and garnish with an orange slice and stemmed cherry.
